Should I consume this? It expired in 10/14 and it still smells fine and there’s no clumps or anything.
It’s chocolate flavored whey protein powder.
This shit is expensive, so I'd rather finish what i got.

It’ll be grand. If it hasn’t gone mouldy or anything and doesn’t smell odd you’re good to go.

It hasn’t and doesn’t smell bad either.
I mixed it in with a glass of milk and it tastes fine.

Quick question.
Does America just use ‘expiration dates’?
We use:-
‘best before’, meaning it’s best before and on that date but still edible afterwards.
‘sell buy’ meaning the store can’t sell it after that date but is still safe to eat after that date.
and
‘use by’ meaning the product is best consumed on or before that date and use judgment to see if it’s safe to eat a day or two afterwards.

No problem as long as it's dry.

I’ve got some that expired in 2012 and I’m still working on it and it’s fine.

Ah, then I’ll assume mine is fine.
What flavor?

We use pretty much all of those.
This one was “best before”, so I guess that means it’s still good beyond the date.

Chocolate as well, I usually add it to a smoothy so if it was tasting a bit stale i couldn’t tell.

BSN?
If it’s not clumpy and doesn’t taste bad it may be fine, but also may not be as potent as when it was fresh.

Oh cool. I only hear of people talking about expiration dates.
Ye’, best before means it’s at it’s best, on or before that date but still okay to eat afterwards, just may not taste as great as before it’s best before date.

I glanced at that and read a few bits.
We had a similar thing with people not recognising the difference here but there have been several programmes and government adverts explaining the meanings to people.

Expiration date is a generic term for those. It seems corporations backed it up at some point for a little extra money.

I think some countries do things differently and have different regulations about it.
I only found out the other day, sugar free tic tacs aren’t sugar free, but the amount of sugar in a tic tac is smaller than I believe it was half a gram, but as each tic tac is classed as ‘a serving’ and is so small, they can be classed as sugar free even though the back of the packet has the ingredients in order of quantities and has sugar as the primary ingredient.
